Apple teams up with airlines for iPod integration - Engadget

iPod-integration is everywhere. Apple is teaming up with Air France, Conteniental, Delta, Emirates, KLM, and United to add charging, audio and video integration to their airplanes. It should be available in mid-2007.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

You beat me to it by 5 minutes. I U.S Airways was one of the airlines since that's the only one I ever fly on. :(

Is U.S. Airways one of the carriers working with Apple, or did you mean you wish they were? If the latter, the article says that Apple will be working with other airlines soon as well, so your wish may be granted. :)

Wow, my comment make absolutely no sense. I was saying the latter though. I always fly U.S. Air so of course they weren't one of the airlines with integration. The other thing though is that it looks like this is mostly just for international flights because most domestic flights don't have T.Vs in the setbacks that you could play video on.

While this is nice I would much rather have a power plug that I could plug in my Macbook to so that I could just use it to listen to music and watch video. I know that Apple has that adapter but I'm not sure if that works on all planes or not and that's a lot of money to spend on something if it isn't going to work on all planes.
